6.8/10 - Midsommar if it was a small indie game with a few small issues, (30-60 mins), I enjoyed this game whether it's the setting, characters and tasks you perform. It creates a strange little world and it creates a good setting for a horror game. I thought that some of the characters stood out in a good way, in terms of personality or looks. I think creating a bigger and more in-depth version of this game would be great and an exciting prospect because of what this game lays down.
I personally enjoyed how there were different endings to the game and smart little details which benefit you if you pay attention. Although I thought that what happens to your friend and who the threat is, was a bit obvious from the start which did make me less intrigued. So a twist would of been beneficial to the story.
Now in terms of issues, I encountered big and small glitches. The big glitches I found were that the game restarted me from the very start after my character was caught halfway through the game meaning I had to play it over again. And the other big glitch was that, I replayed the ending and I escaped by using the van without having a key. In terms of smaller glitches, the main one of annoyance was the graphics settings kept changing after the game loaded into a new section such as the house or outside.
Overall it's a fun game and with a variety of endings, but I wish some of the glitches were fixed and a few small things were added to strengthen the game. But I do think this was an exciting little game and I'm looking forward to see more from what the Studio will do!

Never any obligation, but if you wanted to see my real-time reaction, it starts at 31:58 (I had to be quiet because I played at ~2AM, sorry if any of my reactions were a tad muted! You did great!)
The Game is actually fun and the aesthetic is great, but does have some logical problems, when considering the circumstances. If the player tries to leave earlier or explore around it doesn't work, you have to wait for certain events, so why give items early or the ability to leave a hide place (in the Shed), when you die immediately. A bit on the nose with the guy that tells you where your friend is.
Also you just leave your friend, with a stabbed guy in the hallway to rot and the other cultmember back? There seems to be no closure for them.
Very rudimentary AI, that seems to check for a bool and immediately catches you in that trigger, i tried to leave the house during that sequence, but it wasn't clear that, that isn't possible. So there's very little in terms of choices.
I hate the VHS filter and Glitch so much, every time a new scene loads you have to reset the Settings for it. Also it adds absolutely nothing to the Story, you are not looking through a Camera or a Tape it doesn't even make sense, only the death scene has a camera UI, but why?
But still a great little game, just thoughts for the next one.

Great game, awesome idea! I love the concept and how realistic it is, not the usual supernatural creature or apocalyptic event, it reminded me of all those cases of crazy cults around the world and that makes it scarier.

Overall I really enjoyed this game, the environments and overall level design was great, I am very fond of the super saturated colors, and I enjoyed the layout. I'm a big fan of the movie Midsommar, so I kinda knew what to expect coming in; I think if someone wasn't familiar, it would be a stronger experience. The notes and exploring the environment for random bits of lore might me my fav parts. I wish the ending had a little more to it.

Hello. Judging from the screen shots the game looks phenomenal. But, the issue is that there is no zip file and the setup is suspiciously small. Furthermore, it asks for the installation on PC and I really can't allow that. I do hope your team or maybe you individually find a different approach. Best of luck. FYI, the YouTube teaser doesn't have any sound, whatsoever.
Hi there! The installer is small since it's an extremely compressed version (and the game is not big either) - but it's not a virus (I verified it every way possible). For convenience, there is also a zipped version available now - you can check that out as well.
seems fine after restarting, I think the issue is that you can soft lock the game after pressing 'SPACE' after accepting the letter invitation. pretty bad bug
no worries! I like the vibe of it, it gave me a few startles, didn't manage to finish it unfortunately since it resetted midway from 0 but I will be playing it after bugfixes again

Really awesome game! Big fan of the storytelling and the art style in this one in particular.

I just started playing and I am stuck after accepting the letter with E.
I keep pressing 'E' now and says 'A new letter? I wonder who sent it..."
then I hear a bus engine starting.
